6 Tips to Keep your Mouth Healthy

We all agree that a beautiful smile can charm anyone. But what most people ignore is the proper oral hygiene hiding behind the so-called «Hollywood smiles».

Various surveys have shown that a smile is one of the first things you notice in someone. How repulsive is, therefore, a smile painted with pigments of caffeine? There are small details that either give you extra bonus points or immediately withdraw any charm. We will analyze six very simple tips that can be easily integrated into the daily routine of everyone, to ensure that you will have a healthy and beautiful smile.

6. Use the Appropriate Toothbrush

A toothbrush with soft or medium bristles is suitable for almost everyone because it doesn’t destroy the enamel of the teeth or hurt the gums. There are children’s toothbrushes smaller in size that best serve their needs since the oral cavity is much smaller. For adults, there are two options, manual and electronic toothbrushes. The selection is based on your personal preferences. If you choose the electronic toothbrush head with swirling movement and the vibration is the best choice. Do not forget that replacing the toothbrush should be done every three months and immediately after a cold or illness.

5. Use the Right Toothpaste

Most kinds of toothpaste contain fluoride, which helps to prevent decay. Others are specific for desensitizing sensitive teeth and preventing plaque from forming. There are few toothbrushes with whitening agents that give gleaming smiles. Finally, for lovers of organic and herbal products marketed toothpaste with herbal ingredients is the solution.

4. Proper Brushing

Even all your products are excellent and market-leading, incorrect brushing technique can cancel all their benefits. Be sure to brush your teeth two or three times a day with gentle, circular movements (wiping away bacteria from the gum line). Take care to clean all surfaces of the teeth and the tongue with the end of your brush for fresh breath. The recommended brushing duration is two minutes. Whole! Do not cheat and do not get bored! (PS for excessive frequency, the duration, and strength of the brush bring just the opposite effect).

3. Flossing

Even once a day using it is enough. Make sure you choose the right product. If you have large gaps between your teeth then your choice should be the dental film (is wider than usual dental floss). If, however, the gap between teeth is small then the appropriate selection is flossing wax. Finally, for those of you who have been placing dentures, asking dental advice is essential.

2. Mouthwash

Choose what suits you and meets your needs. As with toothpaste, there are many choices about mouthwashes as well. There are the ones that fight against plaque formation, decay, or gum diseases. Also, mouthwashes with whitening agents and mouthwashes offer fresher breath. Using 20ml mouthwash twice a day for thirty seconds is ideal.

1. Diet

Proper diet holds a leading role in the overall health and maintenance of a brilliant smile. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” as most parents say to their children, and the truth is that they are right! A little apple after your meal cleans tooth surfaces and interproximal areas. Dairy products such as cheese and yogurt contain calcium and strengthen teeth. Nuts, such as walnuts, were established without doubt. Since drinks are ideal choices like water, milk, and tea without adding sugar.
Foods to avoid are first of all sugar. Acidic foods also, such as tomatoes, may irreparably damage your teeth. avoid foods that stick to teeth, for example, bread, potato, and banana.

Stay away from carbonated drinks, alcohol, caffeine, juices with added sugar, red wine because not only they can damage the enamel of the teeth but also fill them with pigments.

Finally, there are foods that help whiten your teeth like broccoli and carrots, which “scrub” your teeth by removing a degree of pigments. But there are other foods that contribute to teeth scrubbing, such as strawberries and oranges.
The combination of these six simple pieces of advice combined with your regular dentist appointment can give you a bright and healthy smile. It takes a little discipline, but the benefits are huge! Haven’t you noticed how wonderful they feel, those who can laugh and smile without the embarrassment of the neglected condition of their oral health?!
