Dental plaque formation

Dental plaque is a sticky, colorless film of bacteria that is formed on the tooth surface. It is not removed from the area by simply rinsing the oral cavity but with proper brushing.It is well known that it plays a major role in the appearance of most dental problems, such as decay.

CAUSES AND PREVENTION OF DENTAL PLAQUE

You must be wondering now how you can prevent yourself from this evil bacteria.Let’s see some basic details,plaque is created when foods that contain carbohydrates,remain on the tooth surface. Bacteria thrive on the oral cavity when such foods are present and produce acids as a result. Over time,these acids destroy tooth enamel and decay is making its first appearance.Dental plaque can also be developed on the root area of the teeth,below the gums and cause disruption of the bone that supports the teeth.

  • Brush twice a day, as I describe in the related article.Also use toothpaste that contains fluoride.
  • Do not forget to use dental floss.
  • Dental check every six months is required and the dental cleaning is necessary.
  • Pay attention to your nutrition as much as possible
